Cerebral Palsy

Cerevral palsy Cerebral palsy is a group of conditions that affect a person’s movement and coordination; they may also have a learning disability. Cerebral palsy is caused by a problem with brain development and is not always apparent at birth. Because cerebral palsy affects movement, it can significantly impact a person’s life and independence. People with cerebral palsy may need mobility aids like a wheelchair, but this is not always the case. Some people will be able to walk and play some sports. Support needs will vary from person to person. There are various treatment techniques for living with cerebral palsy, including physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
