Patient Transport Service
We have a patient transport service for patients who have a genuine medical need and are unable to travel to hospital on their own. Please note there is an eligibility criteria for patients requiring transport services.
Booking transport
For your first referral to the hospital, the request for transport will be made by your GP. If there are any further follow up appointments, the relevant hospital/community team will book any necessary transport.
Patients registered with a GP under the Surrey Heartlands CCG
(East Surrey, Guildford and Waverley, North West Surrey, and Surrey Downs)
To book/check the status of your transport please contact the EMED patient transport booking line on 0300 131 2400. The booking line is open 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Patients registered with a GP under the following catchment areas (Bromley, Chiltern, Croydon, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, Kingston, Lambeth, Merton, Richmond, Southwark, Sutton & Wandsworth)
To check the status of your transport booking or cancel your transport please contact the Patient Transport Office on 0208 296 3960 (not EMED). This is a 24hr service.
