We are very proud of the care and dedication shown by our staff, and we want to celebrate those who go above and beyond for our patients, their families, and our community. The gesh CARE Awards are your chance to nominate a team or individual who has made a real difference to you or your loved ones.

Whether it's a nurse who provided exceptional care, a doctor who listened attentively, or a support team member who made your experience more comfortable in our hospitals and community services, we want to encourage you to nominate them for an award. By nominating someone, you're helping us to highlight the outstanding contributions of our staff and show how much we value their dedication.

About the gesh CARE awards

These will be our Oscars, supported by our hospital charities and local businesses to celebrate the best of the best at St George’s, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals and our community healthcare teams.

How to nominate

Nominations are now open, and we’re inviting patients and families to nominate staff members or teams who provided exceptional care.

To make your nomination, simply complete the nomination form and tell us why they deserve the spotlight. Please submit your nomination by 22 October.

What to include in your nomination

When writing your nomination, please include specific examples of the care, compassion, and impact the individual or team had on your experience. This will help our judges understand the difference they’ve made and ensure they are recognised for their outstanding contributions.

Key points to consider for your nomination:

• How did the person or team make an outstanding contribution to your care?
• How did they demonstrate the values of respect, and excellence?
• What lasting impact did their care or actions have on you or your family?

Thank you for recognising the amazing care and contribution of our people across gesh. Your nomination will now be carefully considered by a panel of judges, including senior clinicians, frontline staff and members if our group executive teams. Winners will be announced a special event on 10 December 2024 with further information shared on our website and across our channels.
