We are a research active organisation. Our aim is to develop and sustain a vibrant research culture in areas of clinical excellence and a strong research base to promote and implement research that:

• Contributes to improvements in patient care and our knowledge base
• Informs the development of clinical standards and aims to improve clinical services to patients and users.

We are committed to delivering a research agenda that is responsive to national guidance for clinical and cost-effectiveness and for systematic measures to monitor and improve quality.
