Our maternity improvement plan outlines the steps we’re taking to change our maternity service for the better. 

We recognise that we need to make big improvements to your experience of our service, and that we also need to make sure that it’s working as safely and effectively as possible for you. 

It is made up of three themes: 

Workforce, culture and leadership  

We know that the culture of our team has a huge impact on the care we offer you. We are committed to creating a warm and supportive team environment, where each one of our colleagues feels confident and able to achieve their full potential. 

Women centred care  

We want you to have a good experience of our care, from your antenatal appointments, through your delivery, to after the birth of your baby. To do that, we’re working to develop a culture and processes that put you and your needs first. 

Safe effective care  

Our absolute priority is to provide you with safe and effective care.
