Carolyn fell in love with her specialty from the first time she walked on to a labour ward as a medical student in London in the 1980s and watched the birth of a baby. From then onwards she wanted to be an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
After qualification she trained in South London, Oxford and Bristol regions, finally specialising in the field of reproductive medicine as lecturer to Professor Lord Robert Winston at Hammersmith Hospital.
Carolyn has worked as a Consultant at this trust since 2001, and still delights in assisting women to conceive and then deliver.
Special interests and treatments
Fertility investigation and management. Community one-stop general gynaecology clinics. Gynaecological surgery, including minimal access surgery and fertility sparing surgery. Assisted Conception including: IVF treatment, donor insemination, IUI, fertility preservation (for oncology patients). Gynaecological ultrasound.
