Coronavirus: information and advice

Following expert guidance from Public Health England, please consider the following before coming to Epsom and St Helier hospitals, Dorking, Molesey or NEECH community hospitals, before attending an appointment at one of our out-patient or community clinics or receiving a visit from one of our community health and care team.

Call NHS 111, stay indoors and avoid contact with other people immediately if you’ve travelled to the UK from:

  • Hubei province in China in the last 14 days, even if you do not have symptoms
  • Iran, lockdown areas in northern Italy (opens in a new window) or special care zones in South Korea (opens in a new window) since 19 February, even if you do not have symptoms
  • Mainland China or South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild)
  • Other parts of northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini), Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar or Vietnam since 19 February and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild).

Experts from Public Health England advise that the chances of getting the illness in the UK are low. However, if you are worried that you may be infected with novel coronavirus, please stay at home and call NHS 111 for medical advice. Based on current evidence, symptoms of novel coronavirus are flu-like symptoms including a fever, a cough, or difficulty breathing.
