Be in it to win it with Epsom and St Helier

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning a £25,000 jackpot while raising money for a good cause, then why not take part in a new weekly lottery in support of Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity.

Just like lots of other NHS organisations before us, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity has joined Unity Lottery, a national platform that is designed to give good causes the chance to raise money through their own weekly prize draw. This ensures all legal obligations are met and it is administered within all of the gaming rules.

The cost of entry is £1 with 50p of every £1 coming to Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity (the remaining 50p is retained by Unity to cover administration and the prize pot).

Director of Communications and Patient Engagement, Lisa Thomson, said: “Our staff at Epsom and St Helier hospitals do an amazing job of caring for patients and supporting their loved ones, but we recognise that (just like other NHS trusts up and down the country), there are times when they could do with the support of extra funding.

“Whether staff on the cardiology ward would like to raise funds for an additional state-of-the-art monitor or our neonatal team need additional kit for the young babies they care for, we want to offer our staff a helping hand for their patients whenever they need it. We hope that our supporters will find the lottery a fun and easy way of supporting a great cause.

Players can sign up online (or send off a form) to be allocated their own unique six-digit lottery number which is theirs for as long as they wish to keep playing. They can have up to five numbers entered weekly at £1 per entry and decide if they want to pay for them by monthly direct debit or in 13 week blocks.

The lottery is a number match game. Each week a random six-digit winning number sequence is generated. Winners have to match three, four, five or all six digits of the winning number in the correct position in the sequence.

Players matching six digits in the correct sequence will win £25,000, five digits will win £1,000, a four digit match will win £25 and a three digit match will win entries into the next draw. Winners will be notified automatically, so no need to worry about checking your numbers, and prizes sent out. Players must be 16 or over to enter.
